The client was acquitted of all charges, with the judge saying that he believed the client had nothing to do with any incident that may have caused the neighbour's injuries. CTV Barrie covered the story throughout the trial's run.

Allison Cormie-Bowins acted as co-counsel with Nadir Sachak on the 'Rosedale shooting' first-degree murder and attempt murder trial, which spanned over four months and featured reference to several local celebrities. Behind the scenes, Allison argued and won numerous Charter and evidence-related motions which the jury was not permitted to hear. Several motion rulings have been reported and are available on CanLII.

Allison Cormie-Bowins successfully argued that her client, who had plead guilty to possession of half a kilogram of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking it, should be granted a 17-month Conditional Sentence. The typical sentence for similar offences is 5-8 years in jail.
